He Shoots, He Scores….But The Ref Didn’t See It

By: Martin | August 16th, 2009

What a carry-on down in Bristol where the Hammers’ on-loan striker, Freddie Sears, appear to score a perfectly good goal only to be told that the referee didn’t see it go in, so it doesn’t count. Now of course, Freddie is on loan to Crystal Palace for the year, so our outrage only goes so far, but this kind of refereeing scares the living daylights of any fan. On the upside it looks like Freddie is showing what a great talent he is and we eagerly look forward to his return to the Hammers next season.

I like that Freddie Sears didn’t kick up too much fuss (as far as I’m aware anyway) about the goal not standing.

Can’t see that being the last time young Freddie gets the ball in the back of the net this season.
