Solano, Gudjohnsen, & Dyer…
By: Erick | August 14th, 2007

West Ham have reportedly been in discussions with Barcelona for striker/midfielder Eidur Gudjohnsen and in discussions with Newcastle over midfielder Norberto Solano these past few days. It’s obvious from the last match against Man City that West Ham need some creativity in their attack, but I’m not so sure these are the guys to go to. Not only that, but signing Gudjohnsen is not going to come at a cheap price. To add more unsult to injury, it has also been reported that Sven Goran Eriksson and Man City are also looking to secure the services of the “Ice Man”. Not so sure who will win out in the Gudjohnsen sweepstakes, but clearly this past weekends result could play a role in which team Gudjohnsen decides to sign for.
In other transfer related news, if both Solano and Gudjohnsen don’t pan out for West Ham, it looks like they will make another desperate run for Kieron Dyer. Of interesting note here is that current West Ham United player Lee Bowyer will be re-united with his strike partner from their Newcastle days. Strike partner? Newcastle? Look here.
