So It Begins!!!: West Ham vs. Man City

The Premiership season is a just a few hours away and I for one can hardly contain myself!!! For those in the United States, Fox Soccer Channel (FSC) will be airing the game live at 10:00am ET/7:00am PT and I’m sure you will not mind getting up early to see Sven’s newly revamped Man City side and also seeing what new Hammers duo of Dean Ashton & Craig Bellamy can cook up.

Here are just a few notes on today’s matchup:

-Regular team captain Lucas Neill and new signee Scott Parker will be out of action this first game due to minor injuries, but should be available for next week’s game at Birmingham.

-Freddie Ljunberg has been named interim captain by manager Alan Curbishley as he is not only the most experienced player on the squad, but also is captain of the Swedish National Team which makes him the most suitable candidate.
