West Ham 0-1 Stoke City
By: Martin | March 28th, 2010
A must win that we didn’t win. Six losses, no wins. Can it get any worse.
The first half against Stoke gave all Hammers fans some hope with Mido, who now has the nickname Kung Fu Panda, messing up a perfectly good chance. But at least it was a chance. Carlton Cole had a chance to score but not as easy as the miss by the Egyptian. A surprising sight was that of Kieron “Almost Retired” Dyer who actually looked like he wasn’t ready to be pensioned off. Based on the run of play a goalless score was a fair assessment of the first 45 minutes.
The second half started without Kieron Dyer. Obviously running around for 45 minutes was too much for the 31 year old which meant Kieron’s appearance cost the Hammers around £1340 per minute. Money not well spent.
Ex-Hammer, Matthew Etherington, came off after 67 minutes and was replaced by Ricardo Fuller, who stamped on the heart of every Hammers fan less than two minutes later. After gathering the ball, he swept past Manuel Da Costa, Scott Parker and Matthew Upson to shoot past Rob Green. After that the game was as good as over. A late chance came from a Jonathan Spector cross to Carlton Cole, but to no avail.

Great info on West Ham! I recently came across your West Ham blog and have been reading periodically. I thought I would leave my first comment. C’mon you Irons.
