Will he stay or will he go? Lucas Neill let me know.
I’d just got used to being without your sunny Australian smile this season, but now I’m not so sure. Neill rejected a new contract with the Hammers after last season and there was plenty of talk over the summer of him joining a slew of clubs including Galatasaray, in Turkey, as well as Sunderland. But it looks like he just can’t stay away, which of course will come at a price. Things have moved on since Neill waved goodbye to E6 in the summer and if he is to return there is no doubt his salary will be significantly reduced. If Lucas doesn’t return to Upton Park, he could go back to Australia, where he is involved in a potential Western Sydney franchise for the A-League.
